Beyond 50 Magazine is looking for contributors. This magazine is about giving everyone the opportunity to share stories, thoughts and expertise.
Beyond 50 Magazine is a venue for everyday people to share and learn from others in their community. While it is a quality magazine, it is light, entertaining and positive. You will enjoy reading it at home in front of your fireplace, sharing it with friends over coffee, and browsing through it when waiting for an appointment.
The concept is simple: learn, discover and be entertained, all by the people we live, work, and play with each and everyday.
You may be thinking to yourself – But I’m not a writer! The fact is, we are communicating creatures by nature, and we all have a story-teller in us. We all have interests, passions, and good stories and we’d like to hear about yours. All we would like you to do is put it on paper or on the computer. Write it as though you were talking to your partner, best friend, co-worker or children.
Submission Guidelines
We encourage you (yes you!) to submit a story and/or photos so please have a look at the following guidelines: - This magazine is for the community and by the community.
- We want people to submit their true-life stories, anecdotes, and personal experiences about life after 50.
- We will edit published submissions for spelling, grammar, and consistency; we do not want to change the content.
- When you make a submission, please be sure to include (on the first page): your name, address, daytime contact number, and email address (if you have one).
- If possible, please supply a photo related to your story or anecdote. Please put a label on the back of the photo with a brief description of who is in the photo. Please do not write on the photo itself – use a post-it or tape a piece of paper to it. You can also supply your photo via email in a jpeg format.
- To guard against chance of loss or damage when sending photos by mail, please do not send originals. If you would like the photo returned, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Allow 4-6 weeks for the photo to be returned.
